Green Congress

Students from Mr. Montrose's 5th grade class attended the Student GREEN Congress at the Evergreen State College in Olympia on April 18, 2019. The congress was a series of environmentally themed workshops that the students could participate in. It was held with the cooperation of multiple schools throughout Thurston County and with the assistance and facilities of Evergreen State.

Students learned about watershed health and water-related issues in their communities. They attended skill-building workshops led by community volunteers and resource professionals. Students who attended agreed to participate in activities to protect and restore their local watershed.
